Tayla and I had been with our interpreter Friday doing hut to hut ministries. It was a hot day and I was in a bad mood just because I was tired. Tayla had been doing most of the talking that day so far. But then when we came across a man and his many children Tayla spoke then asked me if I wanted to say anything. I didn't have anything in mind but what I've been learning is that even if you don't exactly know what to say don't worry about it. God gives us words to say. It's funny because when I was talking to the man about God through my translator it was like I was given a boost of enthusiasm and energy while I was talking to him. Thats the Holy spirit at work right there! God just lead me to tell him how God knows him intimately. How everything about him was created that way for a reason. How God knew how many children he would have and what his name would be before he was even born. How God gave his son on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven and we could have a relationship with him. The man was touched by the words God lead me to tell him. He accepted Christ that day and followed us when we ministered to others. He even followed us back to lunch. Many times men we have ministered to have ignored me when I wasn't accompanied by a guy from my team. In Africa women aren't very respected. Women are even sometimes sold off to be married. But it was a blessing that God broke down those cultural barriers that day. That the man was able to hear God's words for him even though the vessel was from an American white woman. I was so thankful that God breaks barriers. :)
