My name is Shelby Jefcoat. I've lived in Columbus, Georgia for the majority of my life.
I graduated from high school this past May, and am now enjoying a year off from school. God blessed me with a heart for missions when I was in middle school, and led me to AIM's website this past spring. So, now I'm going to Africa with you guys, and I am so excited!
I have two sisters and two brothers, and I'm the youngest of us all. My family has been a big encouragement to me throughout this adventure of applying and preparing for this mission.
I work a few jobs. I primarily babysit though, and I love it.
I love music in all aspects, though I don't think it'll ever be something I pursue as a career.
I love practical jokes and puns (the cornier the better!).
I'm a self proclaimed movie critic, and I take the job very seriously.
I read constantly, and am always in the midst of some lovely piece of literature.
I procrastinate worse than anyone else I know.
I love crossword puzzles, board games, and the combination of the two in the form of Banana Grams.
I'm not particularly fond of capers.
I don't have a very good eye for photography, so it's a relief to see that so many of you do.
Spell check is an essential element to my life.
I prefer peanutbutter to chocolate.
This trip will be my first out of the country mission trip, and by far the longest I've ever been away from home.
I don't have a Facebook, but can hopefully get to know you guys through this blog. I'm so excited after reading so many of your bios. I will be praying for all of you. I trust that God has assembled a beautifully dynamic and compatible team!
